Published purpose

The Manitoba FILU will continue to provide one-stop information services for families by gathering information and coordinating access to appropriate agencies, justice partners and services, as well as offering cultu rally safe resources and healing programs. Two Community Family Liaison Contacts (CFLC), located in Indigenous organizations, will connect with families in communities at a grassroot level and bridge information sharing between families and the Family Liaison Coordinators (FLCs) employed through Victim Services in Winnipeg. The FILU will partner with Elders and community agencies to ensure families have access to appropriate traditional supports and will participate in community events, ceremonies and gatherings to develop relationships with families in the community.
