Published purpose
The project seeks to reduce the overrepresentation of Black adults in Canada's criminal justice system by providing culturally grounded, trauma-informed navigation and legal literacy supports. Navigators will assist clients through bail, court and sentencing processes and connect them to wraparound social services. The project will also develop information resources and deliver legal education workshops.
