Published purpose

The project aims to increase awareness amongst national policy makers about the impact of state behaviour in cyberspace on human rights and the importance of inclusion, particularly of women and other marginalised groups. This project aims to support civil society partners in the Global South to strategically engage with their decision makers in relevant multilateral discussions taking place at the UN to improve coordination and information sharing among interested stakeholders from the region, starting by a pilot project with Chile, Colombia, and Mexico. It also aims to enable GPD to facilitate outreach and diplomatic coordination with Freedom Online Coalition governments in relevant forums and processes. These engagements aim to advance digital inclusion and make key multilateral processes more inclusive and their outcomes more respectful to human rights considerations.
