Published purpose

This project strengthens the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) sanctions on North Korea in Latin America and Southeast Asia. Project activities include: (1) promoting open source monitoring and reporting to the private sector; (2) providing advanced counter-proliferation finance training in Mexico; (3) convening a counter-proliferation finance symposium for Central Banks and financial institutions in Southeast Asia; (4) building regional champions on counter-proliferation finance in the Caribbean and Latin America; (5) conducting an e-learning course on combatting North Korean proliferation finance; (6) providing webinars and in-person training sessions on counter-proliferation finance in Latin America; and (7) conducting interactive training on countering North Korean cyber threats for financial institutions in Costa Rica and Guatemala.
