Published purpose

November 2022 – Over 17.7 million Ukrainians are in need of humanitarian assistance. Many of them are not well prepared for winter. Canada has already provided significant support to the humanitarian response, but a focused allocation would help address their winter-specific needs. With GAC’s support, IMC provides provide integrated mental health and gender-based violence prevention and case management to vulnerable Ukrainians as well as multi-sector support such as water access and primary healthcare, all of which will be implemented in large part through local organizations. Project activities include: (1) providing primary health care services; (2) providing protection services, including mental health and psychosocial support and gender-based violence case management and training; (3) providing water, sanitation and hygiene assistance; and, (4) providing cash assistance.
