Published purpose
In support of the Indo-Pacific strategy, this project aims to strengthen and expand the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) BioDiaspora Virtual Centre (ABVC). It focuses on making it a vital component of the detection and risk assessment pillar of the new ASEAN Centre for public health emergencies and emerging diseases. Project activities include: (1) providing technical expertise and product licenses for the ABVC; (2) developing core analytic capacity for rapid threat assessments; (3) supporting ABVC dashboard development; and (4) planning and delivering an international conference to engage the global health security community.
