Published purpose

This project supports the 2024 Canadian conference on global health (CCGH). This conference is the largest annual Canadian global health forum. It provides a platform for Canadian and low-and middle-income countries (LMIC) global health practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and community advocates to share knowledge, experience, and promote innovation and collaborative action to address key global health challenges. The CCGH aims to identify barriers and bottlenecks that may hinder attaining inclusive global health and universal health coverage goals. Project activities include: (1) providing sessions on current global health best practices and policies to demonstrate innovative research and programming. This includes gender transformative approaches and ways to address diverse inequities in global health; (2) organizing networking events for participants, including for women in global health and students and emerging professionals to promote mentorship opportunities; and (3) providing grants to LMIC delegates to encourage participation in symposia, workshops and presentations (oral and poster) to attend in person (if possible) or virtually.
