Published purpose
With the support of Global Affairs Canada, Interpeace works to strengthen the collaboration between Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the United Nations (UN) to ensure that the 2025 United Nations Peacebuilding Architecture Review (PBAR) reflects the experiences and challenges faced by local peacebuilders. By highlighting the insights of these local peacebuilders, the project aims to influence UN policies and practices, promoting a stronger partnership between the UN and CSOs on peacebuilding. Interpeace does this by organizing regional and thematic consultations, conducting interviews with leaders from national and international peacebuilding organizations, and producing documents with key recommendations. These efforts help identify important themes and issues for the PBAR and contribute to the annual CSO-UN dialogue.
