Published purpose

This grant represents funding from Global Affairs Canada channelled through the Canadian Red Cross (CRC). It supports the provision by the Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) staff and volunteers of psychosocial services and related support to 1,800 Palestinians (mainly children, adolescents and women). This includes injured Palestinians and their companions evacuated from Gaza to Doha by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2023. Project activities include: (1) enhancing the resilience of individuals by providing psychosocial support in the aftermath of war; (2) increasing awareness about mental health and psychosocial support; and (3) equipping individuals with effective coping strategies to manage psychological pressures and reduce stress.
