Published purpose

This project aims to enhance the professionalism of the Haitian National Police (HNP) through initial training and professional development for inspectors and commissioners. It supports the development of a new training curriculum and the development and implementation of a training institution's organizational and administrative structure. Project activities include: (1) providing technical assistance to HNP for developing and implementing training programs using a skills-based approach; (2) providing a train-the-trainer training; (3) developing and implementing an organizational and administrative structure for the National Police Academy and delivering management training; (4) rehabilitating and preparation of temporary training premises; and (5) purchasing of educational material and equipment.
