Published purpose

This project aims to help reduce maternal, neonatal and child mortality through a comprehensive, integrated approach that promotes a continuum of care in seven communes in Haiti. This project provides additional funds in response to immediate needs to respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Project activities include: 1) training health staff and increasing supervision of specific procedures related to COVID-19 including prevention measures, referral-systems and management of gender-based violence cases; 2) supporting access to mental health services for health workers under stress directly related to the pandemic response; and 3) disseminating information to the public related to COVID-19 using radio, sound trucks, SMS platforms, and social media in partnership with local organizations.
