Published purpose

The objective of the project is to support the Burkina Faso National Assembly members and staff in their functions in order to participate in the consolidation of democracy in Burkina Faso following the 2015 legislative and presidential elections. Project activities include: (1) completing an assessment of the technical capacities and needs of the National Assembly; (2) strengthening the capacities of Members of Parliament and National Assembly administrative staff to fulfill their representative, control and legislative functions; and (3) enhancing Members of Parliament’s awareness and providing them with tools to enhance citizens’ commitment and participation in democratic governance.
