Published purpose

The project aims to increase the capacity of the Government of Ethiopia to efficiently implement and scale up the Agricultural Growth Program-Phase II (AGP II) which is designed to increase agricultural production, productivity and better link smallholder farmers to markets. Activities include: (1) training, on the job coaching to the Ministry of Agriculture’s human resources at the federal, regional, zonal and indirectly at the district level; (2) support to establish efficient coordination and consultations mechanisms with all relevant stakeholders, including the Ministry of Trade; Recruitment of Canadian and local expertise to provide specific technical support particularly for the new dimensions of AGP II.
