Published purpose
The DANBÉ project aims to fill the gaps in sexual and reproductive health and rights for women and adolescent girls in the Sikasso and Ségou regions by strengthening the capacity of health facilities, through training and regular coaching of care providers and the provision of medical and non-medical equipment. This also involves improved and more integrated management of sexual and reproductive health and rights and gender-based violence services. Women and girls would have access to a full range of services, including emergency neonatal obstetric care, family planning, comprehensive sexuality education, prevention of sexually transmitted infections, and prevention and response to gender-based violence. The project involves capacity-building for the relevant technical departments of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and the Ministry for the Promotion of Women, Children and the Family, to improve the availability and quality of sexual and reproductive health and rights and gender-based violence services.
