Published purpose

This project aims to improve access to adolescent-friendly sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and nutrition services for girls and boys in Burkina Faso. It also aims to create an enabling environment for adolescent SRH, including recognition of their rights. The project provides training and technical assistance to public health providers in nearly 700 health centres, in order to promote good practices in the provision of adolescent-friendly SRH services that are respectful of their rights. The project also contributes to the development and replication of communication strategies and tools within the ministry of health and other family-planning, nutrition, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS partners. In addition, the project leads outreach and advocacy for teenagers, teachers, parents, communities and political decision-makers. Helen Keller International is implementing this project in partnership with Marie Stopes Burkina Faso and Farm Radio International.
