Published purpose

Statement of Work summary Introduction Provision to the Department of Justice Canada (JUS) of an integrated solution (with one or many solutions/tools), maintenance and support andtraining, to meet the litigation needs of JUS for the processing,review, analysis and production activities in the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). The implementation date for the first production environment is December15, 2020 (Implementation Date). The Contractor shall perform the tasksand activities, and deliver the deliverables as required by the Contract to meet the Implementation Date, provide maintenance and support andprovide the training. Business Context In 2016, JUS initiated a project named the Next Generation Litigation Software ("NGLS"). This initiative will support JUS in transforming business and technology solutions related to the litigation processes defined within the Electronic Discovery Reference Model. The project is necessitated by the natural end of software contracts in place at JUS, the need to increase the number of user licenses, to acquire new technology and to streamline the number of different software performing the same functions. The project should ensure that software and systems help JUS keep pace with the continued evolution of technology in the private sector legal profession while reducing the maintenance burden and ensuring value for money for Canadians.
