Published purpose

This project aims to increase political empowerment and enjoyment of rights for women, particularly young and marginalized women, and those at risk in Pakistan. This project equips civil society and aspiring women leaders with the tools, skills, and experience to remove barriers to equal electoral participation as voters and candidates. This project also strengthens control over political decision-making that impacts their livelihoods and improves their well-being and meaningful involvement in civic and political life. Project activities include: (1) conducting evidence-based research on violence against women; (2) equipping women with new leadership skills; and (3) equipping male allies to support new women electoral leaders and have informed discussions around the legal framework for sustainable inclusion of women.
