Published purpose
To obtain the services of five resources with expertise in the processing of complex and highly sensitive Access to Information Act and Privacy Act requests in order to assist the Access to Information and Privacy Protection (ATIP) Division at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) in fulfilling its legislative requirements. DFATD is responsible for the promotion of Canadian interests abroad, including the management of relations with foreign countries and international organizations. The ATIP Division is responsible for the administration of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act within DFATD. ATIP work in the Department tends to be focused on records relating to foreign relations, international trade, development initiatives and internal administration.
