Published purpose
This project is part of the Civilian Deployments Platform, which provides Canadian experts to organizations to support increased peace, security and stability. The project mainly focuses on women and girls in fragile and conflict-affected states. This project deploys Canadian delegations to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly to monitor the 2019 presidential election in Ukraine. A delegation of eight parliamentarians and senators participates in an election observation mission. A second delegation monitors the second round of the 2019 presidential election. The mission deploys at the invitation of the Government of Ukraine, under commitments made by all OSCE participating states.
