This project contributes to the respect of the right to health, including sexual and reproductive rights of women and girls affected by the conflict in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso. The project contributes to the COVID-19 epidemic preparedness and response plan in Burkina Faso. It aims to build the capacity of healthcare systems in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso to better respond to the pandemic and help prevent and manage future epidemics. Projects activities include: (1) building the capacity of health workers to respond to epidemics, including COVID-19, and to undertake communication activities in communities. This is to reduce local transmission as part of an integrated response to infectious diseases; (2) providing technical assistance to health authorities to respond to and manage epidemics, including COVID-19; and (3) supporting vaccination campaigns in the project area, particularly against COVID-19.
