Published purpose

The project supports the work of the Organization for Security and Co-operation (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine. The SMM is a multinational, unarmed, civilian mission, present on the ground in all regions of the country at the request of the Government of Ukraine. The goal of the SMM is to contribute to reducing tensions and to foster peace, stability, and security, as well as to monitor and support the implementation of OSCE principles and commitments. Project activities include: (1) observing and reporting in an impartial and objective way on the security situation in Ukraine; and (2) facilitating dialogue and helping to establish local ceasefires.
