Published purpose

This project funds the US Civilian Research and Defence Foundation (CRDF Global) to implement six activities to build regional and international capacity to implement UN Security Council sanctions on North Korean proliferation activities and one activity that aims to build networks among women in the field of nuclear non-proliferation. Project activities include: (1) providing web-based training for private sector entities to counter proliferation finance and cybercrime; (2) deploying open source monitoring and reporting on North Korean sanction evasion to the private sector; (3) translating UN Security Council training materials into Spanish for states in Latin America; (4) providing more training on North Korean sanctions implementation for legal experts in the Caribbean; (5) providing training on best practices to prevent North Korean sanctions evasion for ship registry officials; (6) building capacity in central banks in Southeast Asian states to counter North Korean proliferation finance and cybercrime; and (7) building nuclear security and non-proliferation networks among women experts.
