Published purpose

The project aims to help fill Peru’s human resources deficit in the health sector through assistance to the Government of Peru in its efforts to allow Venezuelan migrant health professionals to work in the Peruvian health sector. It assists the validation of their professional credentials and confirms their residency status in Peru. Project activities include: (1) the identification of Venezuelan medical professionals and confirmation that they meet the Peruvian government’s residency registration requirements; (2) support for the validation of professional titles for Venezuelan doctors, nurses and psychologists; (3) support their registration in professional boards; and (4) provision of financial assistance for the payment of national exams and registration in professional boards. The project targets a minimum of 250 Venezuelan health professionals (of whom at least 50% are women), including doctors, nurses and psychologists.
