Published purpose

This project aims to reduce threats caused by landmines and other explosive remnants of war in Battambang, Cambodia, including improving women’s participation in mine action activities. Project activities include: (1) deploying one manual mine action team to undertake a minefield survey and clearance of 60,000 square metres of suspected contaminated land in Battambang; (2) conducting an intersectional gender-sensitive analysis to inform the Mines Advisory Group’s actions at the country program level; and (3) facilitating a workshop and providing recommendations on improved gender sensitivity in mine action for dissemination within the mine action sector and sharing with the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority.
