Published purpose
This project supports the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to improve the effectiveness of its information security management capabilities in preventing cyber-attacks and strengthen capabilities to conduct and implement investigative and identification operations related to chemical weapons use, verification, and monitoring (including in Syria) through the use of 3D scanning technology. Project activities include: (1) upgrading information technology at existing OPCW facilities; and (2) evaluating and supporting the usability of applying 3D scanning and photography to model and forensically document chemical weapons incidents.
