Published purpose

The Sectoral Support Fund (SSF) is a responsive mechanism used to advance Canada’s development priorities in Honduras and engage with key partners through local calls for proposals. This project provides strategic and flexible support to key partners, through targeted technical assistance, the development and dissemination of case studies, regional lesson-learning events, and skill development and training for government and civil society personnel. The 2016-2017 call focused on human rights and strong partnership between the state and civil society. Selected initiatives contribute to the reduction of violence against women, children and youth, strengthening of local level actors in the prevention of violence, and promoting non-discriminatory media coverage in Honduras.
