Published purpose
This project aims to improve the management and agriculture production of 1,400 parcels and farm management capacities of 1,400 young farmers and producers in northern Nicaragua. It aims to increase income, reduce environmental vulnerability and increase food security of households occupying these parcels, representing approximately 10,000 direct beneficiaries. Key components of this project are: (1) acquisition of new technical knowledge and skills by young farmers; (2) support to agricultural production and capitalization of production units; (3) development of transformation initiatives and marketing; (4) promotion of gender equality in rural areas; (5) strengthening the capacities of partners, such as the National Institute of Technology (INATEC) and the Institute of Human Development (INPRHU).
