Published purpose

This project aims to address the socio-economic challenges of vulnerable Jordanians by increasing support to youth and women living in refugee-hosting communities. It aims to reach 10,000 direct beneficiaries (including 6,500 women). Some project activities include: (1) building local capacity for development projects through the development of gender and youth community fora; (2) implementing a gender-sensitive market assessment that identifies vocational training opportunities for women and men; and (3) increasing access to quality early childhood care and development. Save the Children is implementing this initiative in collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council. This project is part of a larger initiative towards the immediate development needs in Jordan, which has a total budget of $20,000,000.
