Published purpose

This project is intended to increase the resilience of Malians to environmental and social shocks through targeted food security interventions in the Kayes, Koulikoro, Ségou and Mopti regions. This project is also aimed at strengthening national mechanisms for addressing food insecurity and proposing sustainable solutions through its support for the development of a national food security policy. The activities include 1) supporting the creation and rehabilitation of agricultural productive infrastructure through food assistance operations to create assets; 2) promoting local cereal purchases; and 3) improving the capacities of small-scale producers through the Purchase for Progress initiative.
