Published purpose
This project works to help targeted countries build their capacity in responding to the threats posed by Foreign Terrorist Fighter (FTF) activity, the reintegration and rehabilitation of Returning Foreign Terrorist Fighters (RFTFs), and the application of the Rule of Law in responding to these threats through criminal justice responses. Project activities include: (1) facilitating three meetings on RFTF good practices and curriculum development; (2) facilitating an introductory meeting to present the RFTF program to potential interested countries; (3) facilitating one country-specific strategic workshop to develop effective draft action plans on the reintegration of RFTFs; (4) facilitating one country-specific transitionary workshop to enhance ownership of the RFTF initiative; and (5) facilitating a country-specific workshop involving government and civil society actors working at the local level to adapt the draft action plans previously produced.
