Published purpose
This project aims to improve statistical capacity in developing countries and to reinforce results-based management as a way to increase development effectiveness and to monitor the UN-led 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals. Statistics Canada has a long history of helping national statistical offices in developing countries build institutional statistical capacity and has built strong relationships with key international and multilateral partners, including The Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21). The administrative arrangement allows Statistics Canada to dedicate resources to engage on PARIS21-related activities, coordinate on projects as required and take part in technical assistance missions.
