Published purpose
This project aims to help build a climate of security and stability as Colombia advances in its peacebuilding efforts. Project activities include: (1) supporting a robust United Nations (UN) human rights presence in post-accord Colombia that complements the peace and security work of the UN Political Mission; (2) supporting the work of Government of Colombia institutions and civil society groups who work for the promotion and protection of human rights; and (3) demonstrating the dividends of peace and lay the seeds for societal transformation given the critical nature of the short period immediately after the signing of a peace agreement.
