Published purpose
This project aims to strengthen the Colombian National Police’s (CNP) capability to detect and respond to attempts to traffick illicit cargos of nuclear or radiological materials through Colombia’s major seaports and airports. Project activities include: (1) providing handheld and vehicle-mounted radiation detection and identification equipment, personal protective equipment and response vehicles; and (2) providing training to CNP personnel on the operation and maintenance of the equipment.
