Published purpose
This project aims to strengthen Cambodia’s border security to combat trans-border crimes and extreme violence. This project works to increase capacity building training on the Investigation and Legal Proceeding Department’s analytical, operational and administrative functions under the General Department of Immigration (GDI) and frontline immigration and border security personnel in border areas. Project activities include: (1) completing a short analysis of training needs in order to better understand the needs, operational context, work environment, and existing gaps; (2) developing and presenting border security and intelligence training modules through consultation with senior management; (3) engaging in 2 training-of-trainers sessions with 40 policy trainers and operational personnel under GDI and other relevant departments; and (4) facilitating 12 additional sub-national training-of-trainer events with the target of 240 provincial frontline immigration and border officials.
