Published purpose

This project aims to support the operations of INTERPOL’s Radiological and Nuclear Terrorism Prevention Unit. Project activities include: (1) collecting and analyzing information on incidents involving the illicit use of nuclear and radiological materials as part of INTERPOL’s “Project Geiger” database; and (2) conducting outreach missions with partner organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency, the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism, and the Global Partnership Against the Spread of Weapons and Materials of Mass Destruction.
