Published purpose
This project supports the development of an online database, the Assistance Support Initiative (ASI), to catalogue beneficiary-donor opportunities for the G7-led Global Partnership Against the Spread of Weapons and Materials of Mass Destruction. It also aims to facilitate the development of capacity-building projects in beneficiary states. Project activities included: (1) coordinating with donor and beneficiary states to identify assistance opportunities; (2) developing a catalogue of assistance programs; and (3) developing an international implementation strategy to further the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540.
