Published purpose
This project supports the governments of Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia, to identify security gaps contained within their national civil aviation security programs through needs assessment missions (NAM). Project activities include: (1) conducting NAMs focusing on an environmental scan and assessment of the overarching National Civil Aviation Security Program, including the roles and responsibilities of personnel involved in aviation security; (2) conducting an assessment of the National Civil Aviation Security Training Program including the training philosophy, instructional practices, and course curriculum; (3) conducting an assessment of the National Civil Aviation Security Quality Control Program including inspections, audits, testing, monitoring and standards of operations; and (4) developing remedial action plans for each country, articulating how Transport Canada and other members of the Aviation Security Core Group aim to provide direct future assistance.
