Published purpose
The Conference brings together state and non-state actors to sustain attention to the Blue Economy and to advance thinking on how to support developing coastal and small island developing states to sustainably develop marine resources, reduce poverty, and conserve oceans. Healthy ocean-based economies provide more opportunities for the empowerment and employment of women, who comprise the majority of the secondary activities workforce in marine fisheries and aquaculture.
