Published purpose

This project aims to rehabilitate the health care system in the rural periphery of the Democratic Republic of Congo's (DRC) capital, Kinshasa, in an effort to improve the quality of life of the thousands of people who do not have access to basic health services. CIDA plans to achieve this goal through the rehabilitation of the health care system's infrastructure, an increase in the capacities of those with authority in the health district of N'sele, and the support of grassroot community organizations. The project responds to the need for support in the areas of women and children's health, reproductive health and the campaign against HIV/AIDS.
