Published purpose
This project builds on lessons learned from a CIDA-funded gender equality project in Sri Lanka that ended in 2004. The primary focus is to help address the complexities of gender-based violence in the country. In addition, the project seeks to enable women to take part in the peace process and integrates gender equality concerns into reconstruction activities. In this way, it helps ensure reconstruction addresses women's strategic interests.
