Published purpose

This is a five-year regulatory development and capacity building project. It is designed to strengthen the agencies and institutions responsible for regulating Peru's hydrocarbon industry. The project includes Canadian technical assistance, consulting services, training, and practical attachments in Peru and Canada. The project aims to: implement new institutional and regulatory frameworks for the hydrocarbon sector; promote increased national and international private sector investment and involvement in the hydrocarbon sector; support the development of sound social and environmental practices; and help educational and training institutions deliver advanced training in petroleum engineering and management.
