Published purpose
This project seeks to improve the enabling environment for inclusive trade and investment for developing Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies in the Asia-Pacific region. The APEC Women and the Economy Sub-Fund is managed by the APEC Secretariat’s Policy Partnership on Women and the Economy. The project supports the sub-fund in carrying out its mandate. Project activities include providing capacity building initiatives such as training, workshops, symposiums, seminars and research to advance women’s economic empowerment. These capacity building activities focus on one or more of the following pillars of women’s economic participation: access to capital; access to markets; skills, capacity building and health; leadership, voice and agency; and innovation and technology.
