Published purpose

This project strengthens the implementation of sustainable integrated agriculture development and mine action in support of poverty alleviation.
The project aims to reduce poverty among poor and vulnerable men and women farmers in up to six mine-affected districts in northwest Cambodia by increasing food security and income. The project contributes to good governance by strengthening the decentralized administrative structures delivering agriculture extensions (including micro-finance) and mine action services. A key feature of the project is the mainstreaming of the goal of gender equality in the implementation processes.
This project strengthens responsive and integrated agriculture extensions and micro-finance services that increase production and income for vulnerable farmers, address gender inequalities, and improve quality of life. It also improves community-based, participatory and gender responsive land use planning and mine risk reduction programs that reduce accidents, release land and contribute to agriculture development.
