Published purpose
The project seeks to improve and harmonize Ministry of Auditing and Control (MAC) audit practices, methods, and procedures. Project activities contribute to improving the knowledge and skills of auditors, training them in modern auditing techniques. Auditors are trained to become training specialists themselves so they can pass on the knowledge acquired. Finally, the project is building up technological and technical capacity in support of the audit function. Better practices and better auditing systems mean that fraud and irregularities can be prevented and misuse of resources can be systematically addressed. This helps reduce corruption and lead to better control of resources.
