Published purpose

This fund is designed to improve efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of key state entities, and to exchange know-how and develop capabilities in areas of state modernization. The fund accomplishes this by funding projects that are implemented by Canadian Executing Agencies and local partners to strengthen economic planning and management systems and by improving industrial policies and programs. It also works towards strengthening environmental management models and promotes gender equality and equity through subprojects. The expected end result is an increase in the technical capabilities of key institutions, as well as a marked increase in the level of skill and knowledge of targeted public servants of both sexes.
