Published purpose

The project aims to prevent the recruitment of children and adolescents into the worst forms of child labour, as defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO), and to withdraw children who have already been recruited. The worst forms of child labour include using children in armed conflict, in mining work, and in illicit activities such as drug production. The project strengthens the capacities of teachers, communities, and families (parents and tutors) to protect the rights of children and adolescents. It also provides protection and psychosocial care for children and adolescents. The goal of the project is to restore to children and adolescents their right to education and the creative use of their free time. This project is funded through the Local Fund for Governance and Children's Rights and Protection.
