Published purpose
This project responds to a request from the Government of the North West Frontier Province to support the objectives set out in Pakistan's devolution plan to decentralize the delivery of social services. The project aims to strengthen the role of civil society in social service planning, delivery, and monitoring; increase commitment to gender responsiveness in social service delivery; strengthen the capacity of public servants to engage with citizens and support citizens' role in service delivery; and broaden the base of support for devolution. Activities are being implemented in partnership with the Sarhad Rural Support Program, a local Pakistan non-governmental organization.
