Published purpose
This project aims to strengthen the capacity of governments to promote and protect children's rights in three countries in Latin America and the Caribbean region. State institutions, communities and civil society organizations work together to: (1) implement and/or revise national plans to promote and protect children and adolescent rights; (2) improve civil registry systems for chidlren; (3) develop programs and policies that facilitate children's participation on issues that concern them; and (4) implement communication strategies to raise awareness of the rights of children and adolescents. The principal participants in the project are the governing national bodies responsible for children and adolescents.
