Published purpose

The main objective of the project is to strengthen the democratization process in Mali by holding credible, transparent, fair, and equitable presidential and legislative elections. The purpose of the project is to build the Government of Mali’s capacities and means to hold widely participatory, transparent, and credible elections. The project is organized around the following components and activities: contribution to the election support pooled fund established by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Local Communities (MATCL) to channel partner funds; election training, including training of staff responsible for steering, managing and controlling the election process, as well as polling station personnel; deployment of steering, management, and control mechanisms; regulated and equitable media coverage; and the management and control of security measures.
