Published purpose
The One UN Program promotes improved coordination, efficiency and effectiveness of UN agencies at the country level by establishing one leader, one program, one budgetary framework, and one office. The program aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of key partners to develop policies and deliver programs in high priority areas (employment, maternal and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and disaster preparedness) in order to increase poor and vulnerable Tanzanians' access to sustainable income opportunities and basic social services.
